Truck History

We see all types of trucks, from pickup trucks that contain farmers or happy families, to 18-wheeled vehicles that carry all types of cargo. The biggest trucks carry large loads along the highway, traveling across the country to ship these important items. If it is not for trucks, we cannot receive a lot of the goods and materials that we currently have. However, we rarely think about how they are formed.

Starting Truck

Before mechanical machines were found, trucks were pulled by humans or packing animals. Kereta Api is responsible for most of the land transportation services of goods and services, so this industry gets the biggest attention. Although the train is relatively efficient and fast, its range is limited. The community demanded more energy from alternative transportation methods and the inventors responded by first developing a steam-powered road vehicle, then with an internal combustion engine.

During the early 20th century, hundreds of truck manufacturers existed but only a few survived. Truck transport does not make itself fast as an industry niche because vehicle manufacturers cannot meet their changing needs. Those who do have known hino dutro names include Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Mack, and Peterbilt. While some serve private consumers, others focus on the commercial market.

Henry Ford created the first Ford truck in 1900 and introduced the first chassis specifically made for trucks in 1917. The Brothers Brothers introduced the Junior Model, a lightweight 1½ ton truck, in 1909. Senior Mack trucks were followed and in 1922, brothers changed the name of the company from Falleson & Berry to Mack Trucks, Incorporated. Mack even produced fire extinguishers, marine engines and trucks for the military during the war.

Transportation Company Appears

The initial trucking company was started by a driver who had a single truck featuring solid rubber tires and open taxis. Increasing demand has caused companies with special fleets or some drivers to transport commodities between major cities. The first truck boom occurred in the 1920s thanks to new and better roads, closed taxis, and balloon tires that made long-distance transportation more feasible.

Trucking companies that survived the Depression benefited from further economic improvements. The Motor Carrier Act passed in 1935 passed additional regulations for the trucking industry, which ended legislative competition between the hino dutro 110 hd automotive and railroad industries. With the authorization of the 1956 Interstate Highway System, the trucking industry became a major player in the transportation of goods and services. Trucks also became more popular as passenger vehicles, with manufacturers redesigning trucks made for war efforts.
