Move? Cover Your Furniture With Plastic Bags

Moving is a time-consuming and stressful activity. For many people, moving furniture can be one of the most difficult tasks in the removal process. Most people have a hard time figuring out how to package furniture because they have to protect it from moisture, dirt, and damage. Fortunately, there is an easy and economical way to prepare your furniture for a moving day.


Moving furniture requires careful care because a lot of furniture is too big to fit in the box. Covering your furniture with plastic bags is the best way to protect your convex mirror furniture while saving your money. The following list outlines a number of useful tips that you can use when packing your furniture using plastic bags:


The first thing you have to do is take inventory of the furniture you have and how much time is needed to unload the item. Make sure you have a plastic bag along with masking tape, labels and permanent markers.


Because it will take time, prepare furniture that needs to be demolished first.


1) For each piece of furniture, begin to disassemble the removal part. Put items such as table legs in plastic bags. On the label write down what furniture belongs to the item and what tools are needed to replace the furniture. Put the label in a plastic bag.


2) Insert nuts, screws and bolts into smaller plastic bags. On the label, write down what furniture the item belongs to and put the label in the bag. Put the small bag in a large plastic bag that holds the table leg.


3) Glue the bag to the bottom. Make sure you do not fasten it to areas that can be damaged when the tape is removed. Do this for each piece of furniture.


4) Remove the pillows and pillows and place them in a clear plastic bag. Close the bag and make sure there are no holes. You do not want moisture or dirt coming into the bag.


5) Slide the furniture in a large, heavy-duty plastic bag so that the furniture is fully enclosed.


Chairs, Sofas and Mattresses: These items can be wrapped in recycled plastic or recycled bubble wrap. Wrap the caster and wheels in a plastic bag and secure them so they can't move. Wrap your arms and legs to prevent scratches.


Cabinets and Tables: These items must be wrapped in plastic and covered with plastic bags. For all parts of the furniture, make sure the corners are properly wrapped and attached to prevent damage. Bubble wrap is a good choice. Any furniture that is large convex mirror susceptible to scratches must have a protective covering such as plastic wrap.


Mirror and Hanging Equipment: These items must be wrapped in plastic bubble wrap and placed in a large plastic bag. The bag must be sealed. Mark 'brittle' on the outside to prevent mishandling


Bureau, Table and Dressing Table: You can fill each drawer with properly wrapped glassware that has a lot of cushion. Secure the drawer with tape. Wrap each piece with recycled plastic bubble wrap and cover with plastic bags. Make sure the bag is tied.


When using plastic bags to cover furniture and plastic pads for protection, you will drastically reduce the possibility of furniture damage. Plastic bags are available in various sizes and are available at plastic bag retailers. If you cannot get a bag in your area, there are many online retailers. Moving companies and storage companies might be able to help you get plastic bags.


Moving furniture doesn't have to be a daunting task. With the right planning and the right cover like a plastic bag, your moving experience will be smoother and easier.
