I have been asked many times over the years, how do I choose a wall mirror that matches a particular room in my house? My answer is that you have to know what room will be hung by the wall mirror and what mirror style matches the theme of the room.

Let me start with a question. Which room in your house will this wall mirror hang on? Because we only talk about mirrors mounted on the wall, your first thought must be style. For most different styles of mirrored walls are Traditional, Ornamental, Modern, Frameless, Venetian and Children.

Next you have to think about what shape you want this wall hanging mirror. Here venetian vanity mirror your choices are rectangular, square, round, oval, curved, abstract, sunburst, octagon, and custom.

What I call custom, is a mirror wall that is not uniformly formed. Examples of special wall mirrors are framed cross-section mirrors. There is a makeup mirror with a carved wooden frame that actually has 3 separate mirrors. There are 2 curved mirrors on each side, with a rectangular mirror in the center of the frame. Let me tell you this part of the wooden wall mirror is really pretty! Another simpler example of a special wall mirror is a triangular shaped mirror.

The next question that you have to ask yourself is whether you want sloping glass or flat edge glass to mirror your wall. Here your choice is about your own taste. Some people think that tilted glass mirrors are more elegant, while others prefer a clean look from a flat-edged glass wall mirror. All you have to do is shop and compare until you make a decision.

Another important feature of wall mirrors is if you want your mirror to be framed or not. If you use a framed wall mirror, you have many choices. Here we will start with the ingredients from what your mirror frame can be made. Your frame material choices are metal, wood, resin / acrylic, glass and believe or not recycle magazines and recycled newspapers under the "Other Frame Materials." So when it comes to frames for mirroring your walls, the categories are wide open!

The next thing on your list is to determine what color you want your mirror frame to be. Even though your color choices are not limited if you choose to go with custom colors. There are also several standard colors available. Your standard colors are brown, gold, silver, black, bronze, white, copper, and red. If you see a multi-colored mirror frame or several colors to match the room decor, you can make your mirror wall frame to fit the color. You are in full control of the full color spectrum.

Your last factor, but no less important in choosing the perfect wall mirror is its size. Go to the wall you want to hang the mirror on. With a ruler in your hand, measure the width and height of the wall area you want your new mirror to occupy. Make sure your measurements are accurate. Once you are sure about the size of your wall venetian wall mirror mirror, you are done with your research and ready to buy.

Now you can go out or shop online feeling confident that you have done your homework and that your decision will be an educated decision.
