Maps Labs is the latest innovation from Google to facilitate Google Maps features. The goal is to be more interactive. Depending on Maps Labs response and success, this might become a regular feature on Google Maps. Currently there are nine features that are part of it, namely Aerial Imagery, Back to Beta, Drag 'n' Zoom, LatLng Marker, LatLng Tooltip, Rotatable Maps, Smart Zoom, What's Around Here and Where in the World Game.
Without doubt, it is certain that the goal is to make Google on Maps more interactive. Indeed, the name Maps Labs allows everyone to suggest features that can be added to make Google Maps more interactive. Although it has only been a few days since Maps labs were introduced, a warning comment on the Google-Latlong blog that if the feature does not fulfill the promise then someone can escape to the standard version of Google on the Map, making us ask questions about the future plans of the project.
'Aerial Imagery' as the name suggests offers aerial images in different perspectives, in the 'Drag' n 'Zoom' option you only need to aim the cursor at the area that needs to be highlighted and will be enlarged. 'LatLng Marker' is an additional feature in the
sulfur analyzer indonesia Context Menu. LatLang is a short way to refer to latitude and longitude; which allows the visitor to drop a mini marker that shows the latitude and longitude of the position the cursor shows when the context menu is generated. The 'LatLang Tooltip' feature displays a tooltip next to the mouse cursor that shows the latitude and longitude directly below it. You won't miss the habit of flipping through the map, when we use it to see it physically; the 'Rotatable Map' feature allows visitors to flip it. What's Around Here allows a second search option; it provided an interesting area where we were looking. This is a secondary search because it gives us additional area and business options that may be of interest to us.
Of all the features some are well known and some can only be skipped, for example if we will consider the Smart Zoom feature then we will find that it is just a smart way of saying in advance that the image cannot be enlarged further.
It will be interesting to check out the new features that will be part of Maps Labs in the near future and find out how many additional interfaces they will add to Google Maps.
