Is that a cheval mirror? We have all seen these mirrors. They command your attention when you walk in the room because they are striking. They are full-length mirrors that have an oval or rectangular frame made of wood or wrought iron. The mirror seems to be suspended above the ground and held by two rotary screws. They add classes to any room. Every girl has one or at least wants one as a child.


First known as a makeup mirror, a cheval mirror was introduced in the 1700s. Since then, new designers have added their rounds as if they are competing to see who can make the most decorative frames. However, over the years, the status of celebrities in the spotlight with other types of mirrors that promise space savings. Mirrors attached to the dressing table holders and hidden in larger furniture became popular, but Antiqued convex mirror cheval mirrors were not forgotten. It becomes a classic work.


This type of mirror will always go beyond competition because of its ability to attack many angles to provide optimal viewing from head to toe. This is something that is not achieved by a wall mounted mirror or a mirror mounted on the wardrobe door. Another advantage it has compared to its competitors is the attraction it adds to a room. This is intentional furniture that adds elegance to the bedroom and now commands the audience in the living room and dining room. People are starting to see that a cheval mirror is also a class statement as if having one means you are royalty.


Cheval Mirror is still there. Since the 1700s, they can be found in many attractive designs even with retro designer frames that whisper years when you are. Mirrors can be found in traditional brick and mortar department stores or online for your 19th century convex mirror shopping convenience. What used to be only for rich people, can now be in the hands of everyone. You have a choice between more modern shapes and traditional curved wooden designs. There are literally full length mirrors for everyone's taste and budget.
